Back in the Gym!

Today was my first day back at the gym in like 3 weeks! It feels like forever though! I did 32 minutes on the Elliptical and burned 300 calories! Man, I was so shweatty afterwards!! Felt good to be back though!

On Friday night we were at a 40th birthday party and it took me longer to get ready than the amount of time we spent there! We were just feeling really crappy after being off work for two weeks and eating out almost every day – damn you Tony Roma!! lol

I was thinking of going back to Blogger for my blog, but I’m not sure – WordPress is great and all, but I don’t find it easy – Blogger seems much easier!!! I will think about it!

We are hoping to get a computer desk soon, so I will be able to blog a lot more often than with the iMac sitting on a coffee table – my back gets really sore being hunched over typing – poor me! Ha!

I had put on weight last week and was up to about 175.6 – today I weighed in at 172.6! Fabulous! It’s amazing what a couple of good healthy days can do! Well, the Biggest Loser is on shortly so I’m off to do the dishes and clean up before that! Have a great night

On Friday my dad and I went on the Glasgow Sightseeing Bus! It’s the first time we’ve both been on it! It was funny when the bus driver asked us where we were from though – because we got on the bus just a mile from my house! He was a friendly chap with a funny laugh! The tour was great and lasted about an hour and a half, and I got to see Glasgow from a different perspective! I took some photos, but some didn’t come out great as I took the wrong lens with me! Doh! Here are some photos for you to enjoy! You should all visit Glasgow!!! It’s cool!

I forgot to blog that last Sunday I had a roller skating lesson! It was fabulous and made me feel so much more confident on my skates. The skating instructor told me that I was quite good on the skates and that I should keep it up! Here are my rockin’ skates! I bought them in Orland, FL about 6 years ago!!!

I was out in town today because I wanted to buy a new pair of GHD hair straighteners but the salon places I went to didn’t stock them. I think I’ll just buy them online. But when we were walking through one of the department stores, I ended up getting a make over at the Benefit counter! My eyes are totally smokin’! I ended up buying these products – one is a pink coloured brightening face primer – it’s awesome, I highly recommend it! And I got the Smokin’ Eyes kit – which is also fabulous!!

Hey – Happy Wednesday Thursday! (I started this post yesterday!!) I’m so sorry I haven’t blogged in forever. I really have no excuses apart from laziness! I’m sure I have a post in the past that said this exact same thing!!!

My diet has gone off the rails this week, and it all started with Tony Roma! We went there on Sunday for dinner:

Today we took Molly to the beach at Troon – it was lovely, even if it was a bit chilly with the wind – sure does clear the cobwebs away! I think we managed to tire her out because she is sound asleep beside me now!

I promise I’ll get back to proper blogging soon! And get back to healthy eating and a good dose of exercise!!! I feel as if I’m in a rut again and struggling to get out of it!

Tomorrow my dad and I are going to go on the Glasgow Sightseeing Tour!! Should be fun! I will be sure to take loads of photos!!

And a big HAPPY BIRTHDAY to Karla who is 21 today!!! Go visit her blog – she’s an inspiration!! :-)

Buckcherry and the Transport Museum

I have been meaning to blog since last week, and just never got round to it because I wanted to put a load of photos up, but it takes ages and I am a total lazy bum right now. My diet and exercise has flown out the window. I feel horrible, my weight is up and I just can’t be bothered to do anything. What a way to live life! The weather here is no help either, not that that should be an excuse, but it just makes you feel down – blah!

Last Friday we went to see these guys:

Buckcherry! They were awesome!!! It was a sold out gig, and the atmosphere was just amazing! I wish I had photos, but I didn’t want to take my iphone or camera in case it got damaged. I am such a lightweight these days because I only had a few Jack Daniels and coke and was totally ill the next morning! I don’t drink much these days at all!

On Saturday (day after!), I was out with my dad (I had recovered by lunch time!) . We went along to the Transport Museum here in Glasgow. Here are some photos!

Cappuccino, Gym Bag and Treadmill!

As it was my Birthday last week (Hello, 32!) Kenny got me this fab gym bag I had had my eye on. It’s awesome! It has 3 different compartments, to keep all your stuff separate, which is ideal after a sweaty gym session or swim!

I decided to do a serious cardio workout today, since it has almost been a week since I had been to the gym! I hopped on the treadmill for 55 mins and it felt HARD! I ran now and again, and I was totally drenched in sweat after only 10 mins! I kept pushing though, and at one point had the incline at 15% while walking at 5.5km/ph. It was hard for me since I am so not used to inclines on the treadmill! I did just over 5km in that time. I took a photo of it, with my new (ahem) iphone! lol – Did I mention how much I love that phone!! Everyone should have one!

After my workout, I had an invigorating, and much needed, shower and then headed to the gym’s “clubhouse”. I ordered a latte and a Vegetarian sandwich. It consisted of grilled peppers, aubergine and mozarella with pesto on a huge wholemeal roll with a side salad! I had never tried anything like this before, and it was rather tasty! I only ate about a third of it though because it was so huge!

after that huge lunch I drove to Boots the Chemist and treated myself to some Hawaiian Tropic Body butter (my favorite!), sunscreen and Nivea moisturiser!

When I eventually arrived home, I made one of these:

Hey peeps how’s it going?? I am blogging from the new toy I treated myself to for my birthday yesterday. A shiny gorgeous sleek iPhone 3Gs! I am loving all the fab apps you can get! I have been looking for the health and fitness ones of course! I can’t believe I am 32!! How is that possible? Lol. Anyway just wanted to try out the wordpress app to see if it works well enough that I could blog from work
Diet is going ok. exercise is good too! I have lost 2.5lbs and back down to 171lbs! I want to get under 170 by next friday for the Buckcherry gig we are going to. Should be wild!! And I want to get to under 140 for Toby Keith! Lol. I will blog again soon. Have some pics I wanted to share

Wow, what a difference a day of healthy eating and exercise can do for your mind! Today, I didn’t overeat, or eat crap – I feel so good! I need to remember how good it is for mind and body. I really want to lose this weight. I want to look good when I go see Toby Keith!
I will be a Whiskey Girl that night! lol

Today I kicked it up a notch at the gym. I did legs and abs, and I hit my legs hard. I’m not sure if I’ll be able to walk tomorrow, they were shaking walking up and down stairs after my work out. I like that feeling! I really want to go roller skating, you know, re-live my childhood! I bought a pair of Skechers roller skates in Florida a few years ago and have never worn them out at home! Maybe I will go out tomorrow – if I’m brave enough – I’m frightened I might fall and break my leg or something :-/

I finally made a decision about my diet (again!) I am going to go back to doing Weight Watchers. I remember 5 years ago when I first lost weight with WW, I believed so much in it, that I even contemplated becoming a leader – life would sure be a lot different today if I had plucked up the courage to do it!

Anyway, I just wanted to do a quick post before bed – it’s so past my bedtime now!

Toby Keith!!

Hey, y’all! We just found out today that Toby Keith is coming to Glasgow in November!! Wooo hoo! I love Toby Keith, and Kenny loves his music too! To all the country artists out there…….please can you tour the UK?? We love country music over here too! Kenny Chesney, Tim McGraw, Alan Jackson, Rascal Flatts! And many more I can’t think of just now! A few country artists have come to Glasgow in recent years: Keith Urban (HE’S GORGEOUS!), Pat Green, Julie Roberts, Jace Everett. Julie Roberts has the most amazing voice. One of my favourite songs is Break Down Here. Just brilliant.

And on to a fitness note! We played tennis tonight. I got beat 3 games to 2. But I am improving, and I can definitely serve better I know I must be fitter, because I had a hard time getting my heart rate up! When I stopped playing it dropped down to 58 bpm!

Diet is still not good – and I know that’s the most important thing for weight loss – I need to pick a plan and just stick with it! Why is that so hard?! lol

EEEEEEEKKKKK! CAN’T WAIT TIL TOBY KEITH!!!!
